To download a free Adobe Acrobat Reader click here                                      January 2008  Dear Animal Lover: On Saturday, May 17, 2008 the Humane Society of Manatee County will host the second annual Paws in Motion Walk-a-thon at the Sarasota Polo Club. All funds raised at this one mile walk will benefit this “no kill shelter” saving the lives of thousands of dogs and cats in our community every year.  Plans for this year’s walk are well under way; last year we had an amazing turnout with approximately 650 walkers and our goal in 2008 is 1000+ participants, all of whom are animal lovers like you! The day promises to be a fun one with music, entertainment, vendors with merchandise for sale, snacks sponsored by Publix, games, prizes and more. How do you fit in? We’re asking for your participation by forming a team and raising money for the Humane Society.  All of the details, including pictures from last year, printable registration materials, donation collection forms, sample fundraising letters, fundraising tips and more can be found on the Humane Society’s website at the Paws In Motion Website. An added convenience is the addition of the online web page fundraising tool, perfect if your team would like to create their own page and raise funds online. Just go to www.firstgiving.com/humanesocietymanatee and get started! Individuals raising $50 or more will receive a fun, yellow Paws in Motion t-shirt that can be worn at the walk.
