To download a free Adobe Acrobat Reader click here                                  December 2007   Hello to all Friends of the Humane Society of Manatee County!   It's time again to get those paws moving - the Humane Society of Manatee County is gearing up for its 2nd Annual "Paws in Motion" Walk-a-thon fundraiser event to take place on May 17, 2008 at the Sarasota Polo Club!   As most of you already know, our first one was a phenomenal success, raising over $30,000 and providing our community and its pets with a great opportunity to have lots of fun while helping a worthy cause. We could not have done it without the committed volunteers, individuals, teams, vendors, and sponsors that supported us - THANK YOU ALL!   The proceeds for this upcoming event will help us tackle the most pressing issue that our community faces - the needless euthanization of healthy, adoptable animals! The Humane Society, together with Bishop SPCA and Animal Services, is determined to make Manatee County a no-kill community!   We're planning to make the 2008 event even more spectacular - with live entertainment, vendors, prizes, food, and lots of other fun surprises for humans and canines alike!
